Recurrent vaginal infections refer to the repeated occurrence of infections in the vaginal area. These infections can include conditions such as bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections (candidiasis), or urinary tract infections.
Factors contributing to recurrence may include changes in the vaginal environment, hormonal imbalances, weakened immune system, sexual activity, or the use of certain medications.
